SPED
True school street punk free from over-production or flashy gimmicks, the music of Sped recalls the early days of a culture that is almost stripped of its essence. Inspired punk rock legends like the Ramones and the Queers as well as early hardcore bands like Bad Brains and Minor Threat, Sped bring an unadulterated New York sound to the masses that have been craving the real thing.
GOLDEN GIRLS
Golden Girls make new wave music as pure and uninhibited as it can get, recalling Depeche Mode, Erasure and Talk Talk. The epic feel of 80’s pop is an overwhelming presence, causing the listener to get lost in the musical rapture.
AUTOMATIC FIRE
The most immediately apparent characteristic of Automatic Fire’s sound is their honed technique and the bulletproof chemistry uniting the group’s members. Their foundation is alternative pop, with unrelenting guitars, keys and drums consisting an edgy sound that is accented by nods towards shoegaze and post-punk.
DIABLO ROYALE
Broken and weary from the ashes of a previous band, Sankari & Choy searched the earth for new brothers-in-arms. Along their journey they happed upon fellow experienced traveler & gunslinger...Steixner. Steix hailing from the mystical far-away land of Westchester & having done battle with the two on previous adventures, decided to join along to see what trouble the three could stir up. For the next nine months The Trio would train together meticulously and quickly established a bond and foundation upon which their skills improved dramatically, so they decided to search for others to join their clan. Our heroes would do battle with many-a warrior over the course of those nine months, but none could measure up to their might until one day...when the swashbuckling buccaneer Adrian, crossed their paths.
THE RUFFIAN ARMS
“Bastard New Yorkers, loose on the streets, ugly and pretty, a gap in our teeth. It's taken all of our lives to get us where we are now; nowhere. We won't apologize for when your lovers and spouses fall in love with us. We are into dildos and exhibitionism, and we do parties.”
